E-gift cards to a multitude of stores can be redeemed through Capital One Shopping using any Shopping Rewards that you’ve earned!
To redeem your rewards, click the “Redeem Rewards” button under your account drop-down or visit Shopping Rewards Redemption, where a scrollable row of e-gift cards are available.
- From there, selecting an e-gift card will open a checkout screen where an amount and preferred payment method can be chosen. Any applicable disclaimers and/or gift card terms will be displayed below the gift card logo.
- Enter the desired e-gift card amount and the total will update to the right on the checkout screen. Any applied Capital One Shopping Rewards will automatically be reflected in the final total.
- If you try to redeem an e-gift card for a dollar amount that is greater than the amount of Shopping Rewards you have, you’ll have the ability to add a payment method to cover the difference. For example, if your desired e-gift card is for $10.00 and your Shopping Rewards balance is $9.50, you will be charged for the $0.50 difference. Before you place your e-gift card order, you’ll be able to see what this difference will be to make sure you're comfortable with it!
- Even if you don’t exceed your Shopping Rewards balance when redeeming an e-gift card, a credit card is required for identity and security purposes on any Capital One Shopping e-gift card redemption order.
Ready to activate your e-gift card? Follow the steps detailed in the order confirmation email, which should arrive at the address listed in your Capital One Shopping account within 24 hours of completing an e-gift card purchase.
Note: Infrequently, e-gift card purchases may fail for reasons unrelated to your account. If an error occurs during checkout, please wait a few minutes, refresh your page and re-attempt the purchase. Your payment method will not be charged in these instances.
